The end of summer

It’s been a while since I have blogged.  To be honest, life has been pretty busy and what time remains at the end of the day has been spent curled up and reading.  Something pretty big happened a few weeks ago.  We adopted a black lab named Bella. She’s eleven months old, a runt, and a complete suck. I’m sure once I get back into blogging I will talk more about her.  I think she is going to fit in alright once she gets used to the new routine. I enjoy walking with her and it gives me a reason to get off the couch.

The summer has also been filled with baseball. All three kids played this summer and they all enjoyed it. It was lots of running around for us parents but well worth it. Next up will be hockey for the boys and piano and swimming for the little lady.  Never a dull moment around here!

The reason why I felt like blogging today was because of teacups. More specifically, my Nana’s teacups. She passed away a few years back and I inherited her teacups. I don’t have a china cabinet and don’t have tea parties so besides having a cup now and again with my daughter, they stay hidden away. That was until today. I had a super talented lady turn two cups into succulent planters.   I can’t even begin to express how happy I am with them. I will get to see Nana’s cups and enjoy the plants inside them. They really are a treasure.  Anyway, I just had to share.

Hope to blog more soon….

Oh and here is Bella!
