D is a man of many talents. He’s hard working, can fix just about anything, and is one hell of a cook. I came home today from a shopping spree to find a plethora of forest grown goodies. He went out into the bush with the boys and came home with leeks, morel mushrooms and fiddleheads. It’s amazing what you can find in your own backyard!  Vegetables and meat can be pretty pricy here in Ontario, so D’s ability to hunt, fish and forage is greatly appreciated. Recipes will follow, but for now I need to stop blogging and start eating.
