I think the majority of us are guilty of taking on more than we intend to. I work all week and can manage to get the basics taken care of so when the weekend comes I have a to do list a mile long. Somehow I managed to neglect half my list and ended up in the kitchen most of the weekend.
Yesterday was unseasonably cold out and so I made us a pot of French onion soup. D is a huge fan and I knew he would appreciate it. Today I made homemade pizza for lunch and reserved some of the dough to make doughnuts with Goose. The kitchen has been upside down so many times this weekend I have lost count. D asked if I would make rhubarb dream bars today. He even supplied fresh rhubarb from his mom’s garden. They aren’t hard to make and I’ll be sure to post the recipe in the next few days. After getting those in the oven, he asked if I would make hashbrown caserole for our dinner….but only if I was feeling up to it. Sigh…why not? I’m never going to get done what I wanted to get done today anyway haha. Did I mention that I also cleaned the bathroom, did touch up paint on newly installed trim, swept, vacuumed, did 4 loads of laundry and cleaned the bathroom? There is a new pile of dishes to be done but I’m out of steam.
Back to work tomorrow!!

Mom’s are the hardest working people. The job is never done. I really enjoy your writing and I am looking forward to further reading.
